Clarkson University Alumnus Anthony Bouchard ’85 Elected to Board of Trustees

Clarkson University alumnus Anthony B. Bouchard ’85 of Laconia, N.H., has been elected to Clarkson’s Board of Trustees. He will serve as a member of the Academic Mission committee.

Bouchard is the President and Chief Operating Officer of CDM Smith, a global, privately owned engineering and construction firm based in Boston, Mass. Founded in 1947, CDM Smith has been an industry pioneer in the water, environment, transportation, and industrial markets.

With more than 35 years of experience in the consulting industry, Bouchard has expertise in water, combined with management of large operating units, delivering projects across multiple business lines (water, transportation, environment, energy, industrial, facilities, and program management) around the globe. He previously served as CDM Smith’s North America Unit President, responsible for the overall North America vision and strategy for growth and profitability.

Bouchard is a founding member of Clarkson’s Coulter School of Engineering Dean’s Leadership Council. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the leadership council for Water for People, an organization dedicated to promoting the development of sustainable high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to everyone, everywhere.

He received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Clarkson, a master of science in civil engineering from Loyola Marymount University, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Bouchard is a registered professional engineer in eight states and a board-certified environmental engineer in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.

He and his wife, Terri Bouchard, are the proud parents of one son, John.
