Saddle Bin Attachments to Reduce Recycling Contamination

Good afternoon, Clarkson faculty & staff;

I’m Anwesha Das, an intern at ISE working with Alex French. We’re working to distribute black saddle bins (see below images) that attach to the blue recycling bins in your offices. These attachments are for small items, such as candy wrappers or other flimsy plastics that can’t be recycled and are supposed to go to the landfill. Saddle bins are space-efficient, economical, and an effective way to reduce contamination in the recycling bins. There are still several left, so if you’d like to receive one, please email me (andas@clarkson.edu), or come to the ISE office at a convenient time to pick one up.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope everyone takes some time to consider getting their own saddle bin!
