The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is informing our campus community of a minor update to note as you login to devices beginning this week.
The message shown below now appears as part of your Windows computer login and may appear on other login screens around campus.
This update is part of ongoing efforts towards improving the information security of the University. While this login banner is new, the policies that it references (Acceptable Use Policy & Data Privacy) have been part of the Operations Manual for many years. As part of the policy creation process, both of those policies went through the full governance process when they were initially implemented.
Impact is expected to be minor as we get accustomed to seeing the message and clicking ‘OK’ to accept the terms.
