Clarkson Women’s Hockey Team Raises Funds for ALS Association

Dr. Charles Robinson was on hand to receive a donation of nearly $1800 from the fundraising efforts of the Clarkson’s Women’s hockey team to benefit individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. He is a professor at Clarkson and a National Trustee of the ALS Association.

The Canton girls High School Hockey Team helped with the fundraiser when Clarkson played RPI in mid-January. Blake Orosz played for Canton and for RPI woman teams and dropped the first puck. Her mother had recently passed away from ALS.

The funds raised will benefit the care services activities of the Upstate NY Chapter of the ALS Association. The Chapter serves the Northern 48 counties of NY State. The Chapter and the national association strive to make ALS a livable disease by 2030.
