Dawn White Promoted to Clinical Associate Professor at Clarkson University 

Clarkson University President Tony Collins has announced that Dawn White has been promoted from clinical assistant professor to clinical associate professor of physician assistant studies in the Earl R. and Barbara D. Lewis School of Health Sciences.

White is also the Director of Didactic Education for the PA program. She came to Clarkson in 2011.

A native of Syracuse, she received her bachelor of arts degree from Nazareth College, her physician assistant certificate of completion from Le Moyne College, and her master of physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her Doctor of Health Science Degree at A. T. Still University with an Education Concentration.

Before coming to Clarkson, White precepted physician assistant students as a clinical affiliate at Le Moyne College. She was also a physician assistant at Family Medicine Associates in Syracuse and Cicero, Family Practice Associates in Watertown, and Loretto in Syracuse. She continues her clinical practice part-time as a family practice physician assistant with St. Lawrence Health System’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital.  

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA),  the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA), and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). She has attended and presented at several annual conferences for these organizations.
