This week’s blog: Get to Know Clarkson’s Counseling Center!

Greetings,

Congratulations on your admission to Clarkson! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Coreen Bohl and I am the Director of Counseling here at Clarkson University. Our office is co-located with Health Services in an office often referred to as “SHAC” (Student Health And Counseling). You will find the staff in our office to be friendly and eager to learn how we can be a supportive resource to you!

Students seek the services at the Counseling Center for a wide variety of reasons. Our goal is to support students in overcoming challenges they are experiencing so they can have a successful college experience. I invite you to check out our website to learn more about scheduling an appointment or getting in touch with us. Our website is undergoing some changes as we actively work to make it a place that not only provides information about our services and how to access them, but ensure it can offer you information, identifying potential solutions, and share resources as you learn to manage stress, face difficult situations, and cope with life’s curveballs.

Once you arrive at Clarkson, keep our office in mind. There are lots of reasons people come through our doors. No one needs to know why you stop into the Student Health and Counseling Center (SHAC) but we hope you remember we are happy to support you in tackling the challenges you face, large or small. Take a moment now and check out our blog to learn more about where we are located, what we do, and to meet some of our staff.

We will be here if you need us,
Coreen Bohl, LCSW
Director of Counseling
