Senior Budget Analyst (Potsdam, NY or Schenectady, NY)

Position Summary: Analyze financial data and develop moderately complex reports for forecasting and results analysis.  Assist in ad hoc financial studies regarding projected changes in revenues and expenditures. Oversee revenue and expense budgets, including meeting with campus managers for budget reviews.  May train others in budget related policies and procedures.

General Purpose:  Reporting to the Director of Budgets and Planning, the Senior Budget Analyst, coordinates and oversees budgeting activities related to departmental and sponsored budgets, which may include revenues and gift accounts.  Ensures compliance with university and/or agency regulations and restrictions.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience and 4-5 years of related business or financial management experience in an academic setting

Managing Director of Rise High (Schenectady, NY)

Position Summary: Rise High Inc. (Rise HighTM) – a non-profit organization that has served Schenectady youth in close partnership with Clarkson University since 2017- is becoming Rise High @ ClarksonTM as part of an exciting integration of talent and resources. Through hands-on, experiential learning, we promote problem-solving and critical thinking. This is a concerted effort between Rise High, academic and industrial partners, community organizations, and local professionals in STEM fields. We currently serve approximately 60 students, with 8th through 10th grade cohorts. The cohorts move up every year with the goal of reaching 12th grade, and they are recruited as early as 6th grade. The successful candidate will be a grant-funded staff member of Clarkson University and will manage all aspects of organizational planning, partnership building, mapping of programming and opportunities, and recruitment of students and volunteers. This position is dependent upon successful renewal of grants that support the Rise High program. Active engagement in partnership building across various public and private sectors, the community, and communication with parent/student groups are essential. Administrative aspects include managing communications, collaborative grant writing, evaluation, data tracking, oversight of hard and digital assets, and visibility in the community. Administrative and IT aspects will be supported by Clarkson University. This role requires a broad set of skills: educational, technical, and organizational.

General Purpose: Manage all aspects of Rise High @ Clarkson including grant management, budgeting, student recruitment, volunteer recruitment and management, curriculum development, session execution, data tracking, resource management, and growth.

Minimum qualifications:  Master’s degree in related field and 5 years of related experience managing middle and/or high school programs, preferably with high need student populations

Engineering Technician I (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: The Engineering Technician reports directly to the Engineering Technician II. The primary responsibility of this position will be to execute assignments issued by the Engineering Technician II.  Assignments will range in scope and initial details but will contribute to the effective, energy conscientious, and fiscally responsible operation of the Clarkson University campus. 

Minimum qualifications: Associates degree in a related technical field, Journeyman’s card or equivalent certified hours in HVAC field and Five years of related experience

Custodian Supervisor (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Assist in the supervision and coordination of custodial activities. Monitor, and
approve time cards for employees under the Custodial Manager’s direction. Conduct inspections and monitor work performance of employees in designated areas to ensure completion of work
assignments. Coordinate, approve, and ensure coverage of all vacation requests and other absences. Recommend and participate in disciplinary action under the Custodial manager’s supervision. Perform yearly employee performance evaluations. This is a highly customer service-oriented position in which employees should strive to exceed customer expectations.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant work experience.
