Cable TV in the Residence Halls

Beginning in the Spring 2023 semester, cable TV service in the dormitories has been discontinued. This decision was made due to low utilization rates and a shift in the way that students consume media.

We understand that some of you may be disappointed by this change, but please know that there are still many other ways to access your favorite shows and movies. All of the University’s residence hall rooms have robust access to the Internet and many streaming services, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, can be accessed via this connection.

Additionally, the Residence Life Office, the Chief Inclusion Office, and the Office of Student Life will be sponsoring a number of viewing parties on the big-screen TV in the student center for live sporting events throughout the semester.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Residence Life Office for assistance.

Thank you for your understanding,

The Office of Residence Life
