Lunch & Learn Speaker Series 2023
We are honoured to host a professional development opportunity for students, faculty, and the wider community about adaptive sports.
The three guest speakers are Danielle Armstrong and Taylor Mead- Special Olympics, NY, Mary Ellen Whitney- STRIDE, and Katherine Kerr-Pankow- Wheelchair Basketball Quinte who will promote awareness about adaptive sports for individuals with disabilities, and the role of health care providers in facilitating occupation-based participation. A Q&A period with the speaker will follow. Attendants should bring their lunch, though complimentary cookies will be provided.
The event is set for Tuesday January 17, Tuesday January 24th, and Tuesday February 7th from 12pm-1pm, at the Health Sciences Library in Clarkson Hall, with the option for individuals to attend via Zoom.ABOUT THIS EVENT:
