Call for Water Related Posters and Meeting Attendees

Clarkson faculty, staff and students working on water related research or who have an interest in water issues are invited to the 1st annual meeting of the NYS Center of Excellence in Healthy Water Solutions at Clarkson University and SUNY ESF.  Travel scholarships available to student poster presenters.

A Conversation on Advances in Water Science and Technology will take place in Syracuse, New York, on Monday, March 13, 2023, with a networking dinner on March 12th to kick off the meeting. Full details at www.healthywaters.org

With a mission to generate solutions that help to protect and improve waters for sustainable natural environments, healthy populations, resilient communities and sound economies, join the Center of Excellence for in-depth discussions and networking as we look to find cooperative ways to address current and emerging water issues in New York State.  

CALL FOR POSTERS: A key component of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for Clarkson University and SUNY ESF faculty and students to share research in water science and technology to foster connections with potential partners in academia and outside entities.  We invite you to present a poster on Monday, March 13, 2023. Register your poster by Friday, March 3, 2023.  A limited amount of travel scholarships are available to student presenters upon request. Student presenters to complete this scholarship form to apply.

In 2019 New York State designated Clarkson University and SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry (ESF) to co-lead the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Healthy Water Solutions. NYS Centers of Excellence are funded by the New York State Department of Economic Development’s Division of Science, Technology, and Innovation (NYSTAR) to foster collaboration between the academic research community and the business sector to develop and commercialize new products and technologies, to promote critical private sector investment in emerging high-technology fields in New York State, and to create and expand technology-related businesses and employment.
