Financial Aid Counselor (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary Guidelines: Within the framework of a team-oriented Student Achievement Services center and reporting to the

Director of Financial Aid, this position is both a generalist and specialist. As a generalist, the

position has student caseload management responsibilities. As a specialist, this position is

responsible for the overall administration of financial aid application management, including but not

limited to ISIR file processing, federal verification, resolution of c-codes and subsequent ISIR and

suspense file management. As a specialist, this position is responsible for the overall management

of all aspects of the alternative education loan program including but not limited to awarding,

certification, loan management in ELM, file processing, and reconciliation. The position is also

responsible for ensuring the proper awarding and disbursement of NYS scholarships as certified by

the Certifying Officer and VSAC awards.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma with 5 years of working in financial aid

Director of First Year Biology (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  The Department of Biology at Clarkson University invites applications for a Director of First Year Biology, to start fall semester 2023.  The nine-month salary position consists of teaching both fall and spring semesters of a core First Year Biology sequence (one to two lecture sections per semester), and coordinating the associated laboratory courses. Responsibilities include designing curricula, training and supervising teaching assistants, overseeing lab activities, and meeting with students during regular office hours. Other responsibilities include student advising and departmental service. The Director of First Year Biology will have opportunities to innovate and introduce new learning activities and labs. The successful candidate for this position will have experience teaching comparable undergraduate biology courses and a demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching. They will also be familiar with innovative approaches to teaching and learning undergraduate biology. Visiting Assistant Professor- Psychology (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  THE PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT AT CLARKSON UNIVERSITY invites applications for a 2-year visiting assistant professor position in the area of health psychology. The position starts August 15, 2023. Responsibilities involve teaching 3 courses per semester, including Introduction to Psychology, Health Psychology, and courses in their area of expertise. The ability to teach upper-division coursework thematically falling into the areas of health care, health science, health outcomes across the lifespan, or child and adolescent mental health would be welcome, but not necessary. Assistant/Associate Professor Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) Department of the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in Aerospace Engineering starting in the 2023/24 academic year (August 1, 2023 preferred). A Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related area is required. Applications are sought from an individual with a research focus in space engineering, which may include, but is not limited to: guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), systems engineering and integration, space systems/vehicle design, space robotics and mechatronics, space logistics and manufacturing, or other related areas of aerospace engineering.

Minimum qualifications: Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Research interests in at least one of the areas identified above. A record of scholarship consistent with experience level. A commitment to teaching excellence.

Chemistry Stockroom Manager (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  This position provides critical services for day-to-day operations of the Chemistry Stockroom, a central science stockroom for the Potsdam Hill Campus, at Clarkson University; and support for the department undergraduate teaching and research labs of the university.

Minimum qualifications: B.S. or M.S. (preferred) degree in Chemistry or closely related field. At least two years wet lab experience with knowledge of typical stockroom operations.
