The Group III Professional and Supervisory Staff group will be hosting a meeting on zoom on Tuesday, 3/28 at 2pm and the agenda can be seen below. Meeting minutes from all meetings will be posted on the Group III Intranet web page, once approved. All Clarkson employees are welcome to attend.

Agenda:

  • Announcements and updates
    • SAC Meeting Updates
      • Meeting with President Christensen on 3/29
        • Webpage for minutes has not been crafted yet but coming soon.
      • SAC met with Patrick Smalling on 3/14
        • Remote policy draft has been submitted to Cabinet for review.
          • Departments who submitted a proposal under the current policy should hear back through their supervisory chain. Some were sent back with a request for additional information.
        • Pay banding project is being worked on, goal to complete by fall but not guaranteed.
        • Operations manual has some sections that are not 100% updated but staffing/time has not allowed for making updates a priority (e.g. time spent on updating the OM would take away from time working on the remote policy)
        • The group requested more consistent messaging from HR (e.g. how employees are paid/if they’re expected to use time when the university closes due to weather; policy interpretations; etc.).
    • Provost Search Update
  • New Business
    • Guest Speaker: Michael Thorp, Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management
  • Old Business
    • Approval of previous meeting minutes
    • Positive Workplace Discussion
      • Moderated breakout, with the goal of a subcommittee in a future meeting
      • Are there any general comments on this process and topic at this time?
    • Connection bingo cards update
      • Number of people signed up is 13
  • General Comments
    • Ask HR: Please submit questions ahead of time to the form if you can, not a must. This form is not collecting emails and is anonymous.
      • We want to encourage conversation and questions.
      • If you know your question(s) and submit them to the form, we will give them to Patrick Smalling ahead of time.
      • This will be a standing opportunity during our monthly meeting
