Retirement Recognition for Rob Hart

Clarkson University Office of Information Technology wishes to recognize Robert L Hart Jr. “Rob” who, after serving a successful career spanning more than three decades, will soon retire from Clarkson University.

Rob’s career at Clarkson began on September 1, 1987 as a Media Technician. Since that time, Rob has been a guiding presence behind the Audio Visual controls at nearly all campus events, including dozens of commencement ceremonies, countless open houses, orientations, seminars, featured speakers and more. He has helped to support the success of Clarkson events with sound checks, knowing the presenter’s microphone preferences, and by offering the confident nod at start time. He always has a keen eye for detail and quality. His knowledge of the physical campus as well as the strong bonds he’s developed with individuals across the institution will be greatly missed.

Rob’s last day of employment will be May 31, 2023. He is looking forward to having more time to enjoy the things he likes to do around the house and in the outdoors, like riding his ATV, restoring old cars and visiting family. Rob assures us he is not going too far, and we may see him again at a commencement ceremony in the future.

OIT wishes only the best for Rob and thanks him for his service to Clarkson. The campus community is encouraged to stop by to see Rob or send him a note to wish him well.
