Golshan Madraki Receives Tenure and Promotion to Associate Professor at Clarkson University

In February, Clarkson University President Marc P. Christensen, Ph.D., P.E. announced that Golshan Madraki has been granted tenure and promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Engineering & Management in the David D. Reh School of Business. Earlier, in June 2022, Madraki was appointed as the Associate Director of Clarkson’s Honors Program.

Madraki received her Ph.D. degree in Industrial and System Engineering from Ohio University in 2017 and her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Operations Management in 2010 and 2013, respectively from Allameh Tabatabai University in Tehran, Iran.

Madraki’s areas of expertise include applications of Algorithms, Graph Theory, Data analytics, and Operations Research in the fields of manufacturing systems, supply chain networks, social media and societal-related problems, etc. Madraki has published several research papers in high-quality journals and conference proceedings and has more papers in-progress. Her undergraduate and graduate students collaborated in some of these publications.

Madraki successfully secured several internal and external grants and has been advising 2 masters and one Ph.D. student so far. She received the competitive and prestigious AAUW (American Association of University Women) Fellowship for short-term research publication in Aug. 2021.
Madraki has taught different courses including Project management, System Engineering, and two different capstone courses for junior and senior Honors students at Clarkson University. She was the recipient of the Reh School of Business 2019-2020 Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, and the Kristen Craig Memorial Faculty Recognition Award which Honors students bestow on the faculty member who has most positively impacted them. She was selected by the Student Association (CUSA) to deliver the “Last Lecture” to the Class of 2022 at Clarkson University.
