BH Snell Classroom Tech Updates

The lecture hall learning spaces in BH Snell 212, 213 and 214 have received technology updates in time for the start of Fall 2023 term. Read below for details and please plan to stop in on Monday, Aug 21 for a walk through to see what is new!

Learning Space Walk Through Event:

Faculty are invited to stop by BH Snell 212 on Monday, Aug 21; anytime between 1:00 pm-3:00 pm to take a look at the latest tech updates. OIT staff will be available for demonstrations and tutorials of recently updated technology.

If you are teaching in these spaces or new to classroom technology at Clarkson, this is a terrific opportunity to get acquainted before the first day of class. Refreshments will be available, so stop by!

BH Snell 212/213/214:

  • New height adjusting lecture stations are being installed, along with updated network configurations in each of the lecture spaces in Snell.
  • Classroom PC’s are now located in the lecture station.
  • Wall mounted screen displays are added for better visibility of presentations.
  • Rooms feature front and rear facing web cameras for more interactive remote presentations. USB-C video connections are now available.
  • VGA has been deprecated in these spaces.

These improvements originated from teacher feedback, and incorporates Universal Design for Learning (UDL) with improved access for teachers and students.
