Ignite Dorf Makerspace – Hiring Maker Mentors

Are you passionate about 3D printing? Do you have experience in repairing, leveling, and maintaining printers? If so, please apply today!

The Clarkson Ignite Dorf Makerspace features state of the art equipment and tools for designing and creating prototypes and other physical objects. Maker Mentors serve a critical role in instructing users how to use equipment both safely and appropriately. Effective Mentors are creative, hands-on, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help others. Ignite is looking for those individuals with experience in maintaining and repairing 3D printers, CAD modeling and splicing prints, and a passion for helping others in the Makerspace. 

Ignite is looking for applicants (freshman or sophomores only please) with some knowledge/experience in:

– 3D printer maintenance and splicing

– Operating a vinyl cutter/heat press

– Laser cutter operation
