An undergraduate, Sara Olsen, working in the Clarkson Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering laboratory directed by Assistant Professor Bethany Almeida was named a ‘Future Leader in Chemical Engineering’ for the 2023 award/workshop by NC State. This is a highly competitive award, and she was chosen among students from top ranked universities. She will be attending NC State for a multi-day workshop on developing leadership and professional skills, where she will present her work carried out at Clarkson University during a poster presentation, entitled“Investigating the Effects of Surface Stiffness and Viscoelasticity on Human Mesenchymal Stem Cell Immunomodualtory Potential”.
