12/13 Update: RIT Student Matthew Grant Reunited with his Family

As follow up to our 12/4/23 post below, RIT has shared with us tonight that Matthew Grant has been found and is safe. His family has posted information on social media thanking everyone for aiding in the search for their son, who went missing on November 20th from Henrietta. Thank you all for being a caring community in supporting and being aware of their search

From 12/4/23 – We have been communicating with our colleagues at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) regarding Matthew Grant, an RIT student who has been missing since November 20, 2023.  At their request and the family of Matthew, we are asking for our community to also be aware and act if you have information.

A dedicated Facebook group has been created in the quest to find Matthew. This platform is a hub for people to gather, offer support, and share information about Matthew’s whereabouts.

He was last seen wearing a green jacket and blue jeans and driving a 2014 charcoal gray Jeep Cherokee with Michigan license plate ESR8141. Matthew’s family reported that he wanted to explore the outdoors beyond Rochester, prompting authorities to broaden their search area. RIT Public Safety is actively collaborating with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in this search effort.  If you have any information about Matthew’s whereabouts, please immediately contact 911 or RIT Public Safety at 585-475-3333 or text 585-205-8333. Please never assume that what you know has already been reported.

Thank you.
