The Pi Mu Epsilon New York Omicron Chapter at Clarkson University had a successful induction ceremony and officer election meeting! Congratulations to all the new members and the newly elected officers.
Pi Mu Epsilon (PME) is a national honorary society that promotes and recognizes mathematical excellence. Pi Mu Epsilon Student Chapter at Clarkson University (New York Omicron) recently held a new member induction ceremony and officer election meeting.
The requirements to become a member of Pi Mu Epsilon New York Omicron Chapter include being a full-time student, having completed (or in-progress) at least two years of college-level mathematics courses with various GPA requirements in mathematics courses and overall courses depending on students’ academic status.
Spring 2024 new inductees are Lauren Arigo, Myranda Collette, Sucharitha Dodamgodage, Morgan Eaton, Sarah Gascoyne, Benjamin Mustico, Olaoluwa Ogunleye, William Stewart, Julia Thomas, Leah Tracy, and Kevin Walter.
Chapter Officers President Kelsey Sheehe, Vice President Bryant Connolly, Treasurer Derek Pelkey, and Secretary Emelyn Sullivan did fantastic work during the last couple of years. President Kelsey led the induction ceremony for the past three years. Thank you all for your hard work!
New Chapter officers are elected. For the year 2024-2025, Emelyn Sullivan (Applied Math and Stat & Engineering Management Major 25) and Derek Pelkey (Mechanical Engineering 25) will serve as the chapter president and the vice president, Treasurer Myranda Collette (Mathematical Economics, 25), Secretary Ayden Rollins (Computer Engineering, 25).
