Faculty and Staff,
This message includes information for families with school-aged children, reporting travel outside the area, and for employees working on campus.
- All employees with school-aged children impacted by the closure of Pre/K-12 programs across the state through April 20 have been extended an extra two days of paid time off (Monday through Wednesday this week) in order to plan for their personal and professional needs during this period, which can include alternative on campus work schedules and work-from-home scenarios. Impacted employees should communicate with their supervisors and confirm their plans with them by 4pm on Wednesday. Supervisors are being asked to summarize with HR the status of all personnel in their unit impacted by the K-12 closure by Wednesday evening.
- Practice social distancing as shared in a previous communication and as shown on the posters around campus. All employees should report any travel outside of their local area to the Human Resources, and if any family members are returning from outside the area, we are asking that the employee contact HR prior to returning to work – clarksonhr@clarkson.edu .
- Starting today and for the rest of this week, to help with your daily life-planning, all employees who are working on campus can access a free lunch at the Severy in the Student Center from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. You can choose what you’d like to eat from what has been prepared for the day and the Sodexo staff will put it into a to-go container for you.
