Our health system partners across the region are doing a great job with the COVID-19 demands being placed on them and they are contributing to the active case load in St. Lawrence County dropping again today by more than 80 cases. Let’s keep doing our part to give them a break when we can.
All members of our University community should report when they have tested positive: employees to Human Resources, clarksonhr@clarkson.edu and students to our Health Center, shac@clarkson.edu or 315-268-6633. If you are exhibiting symptoms, students can contact our Health Center at shac@clarkson.edu and all members of our community can access one of the County’s community testing sites for on demand testing based on symptoms or concerns about potential exposure.
We did have five cases reported today inclusive of people in quarantine, surveillance testing and people who were just completing isolation after testing positive last month.
To respect the privacy of the individuals, they will remain anonymous.
- They will remain quarantined by the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department until officials have cleared them.
- As part of the NYS protocols in any positive test case, a representative of the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department will be in contact with them and any contacts.
- Public Health may ask the University for information to support their review and your assistance, if you are asked to help, is appreciated. It is important that you follow the qr-code classroom scan to check-in guidelines as this will limit the number of individuals who may need to be contacted and/or quarantine.
PLEASE give our healthcare workers a much needed break when we can and be diligent towards the safety protocols that will help you and your friends, classmates and peers stay healthy: wear your mask, practice good hand hygiene, abide by social distancing, complete the daily screening tool to help monitor for sympotms and take other preventative measures. - Have you, or anyone you live with, traveled outside of the University-approved region(s) in the last 14 days?”
