Lucas Appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at Clarkson University

Samantha J. Lucas, a native of Potsdam, N.Y., has been appointed clinical assistant professor of physician assistant studies at Clarkson University. 

She received her master of science degree in physician assistant studies from Clarkson and her bachelor of arts degree in childhood education from SUNY Potsdam.

Lucas has six years of clinical experience in the urgent care and emergency medicine setting and experience in precepting physician assistant students and assisting new graduate physician assistants.

She is a primary author of an article published in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants

Lucas is certified in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support, pediatric advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation program, New York State infection control training, and child abuse training/mandated reporter.

She previously worked as a physician assistant at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Albany Medical Center.
