RE:   Office of AccessAbility Services

DATE: August 29, 2018

As the academic year begins, it is important to note current staffing and changes within the Office of AccessAbility Services (OAS).  Clarkson University is currently conducting a search for the position of Director of OAS.  We have completed the first round of interviews and are working to fill this position in a timely manner.  The search for the OAS Coordinator position, which occurred earlier this summer, was successful and we are excited to have Jessica Ayote joining the team September 3.  At this time the Dean of Students, James Pittman will be the primary point of contact for accommodative needs.  Many of you may know Patty Walker.  She has graciously accepted our request to help us prepare for the upcoming academic year and ensure that we are able to provide appropriate accommodations while we work to replace and train staff.  As such, you may receive phone calls, emails, or messages from her.

Please do not hesitate to reach out or refer students to AccessAbility Services office.  Emails can still be sent to oas@clarkson.edu.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to support the campus community.

Sincerely,

James W. Pittman

Dean of Students
