The conferral of Honorary Degrees is a long-standing academic tradition that recognizes individuals for their singular contributions to a professional field, to their community or to humanity in general, and to the University.
Honorary degree recipients are given the opportunity at Commencement to share their insights into the challenges and opportunities that graduates will face in the future.
Who would you like to hear give an inspiring address to the graduating class at Clarkson?
We urge you to give some thought to the nomination of individuals who deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments and who would honor Clarkson University by their participation in Commencement.
You can find instructions and our nomination form here.
Candidates will be selected as honorary degree recipients for each Commencement according to procedures outlined in our Honorary Degree Policy.
