New Marketing Procedures and Resources for Publications/Projects

With the semester in full swing, we’re sure you’ve been busy. We’ve been busy too, and we’re excited to share with you some of what we’ve been developing.

Our goal is to help you produce materials that will promote your project or event effectively and leave your target audience with a clear takeaway. We can’t do that alone, though. We need your help to create the best products that fit your needs.

Need a brochure? A poster? Maximize the impact of your printed pieces by filling out a project intake form, which can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/clarkson-publicity. All marketing projects should be submitted through this form from now on. The questions on the form can assist you in clarifying your purpose. Who’s your target audience? What do you want them to do? What is your timeline for this project? Answering these questions can give us a clearer picture of how to approach your project.

Also new is the Clarkson University Editorial Style Guide, which our editorial assistants will be using to edit and proofread your projects. Your publications are unique to you and your field; they also contribute to the face of the University. Now, they can reflect the University’s identity through a more unified and consistent style. You can find this guide on the Clarkson Brand webpage at intranet.clarkson.edu/administrative/the-clarkson-brand/.

We hope these resources will be helpful. If you have questions about them, or publications in general, please get in touch.
