What is Ignite Fest?
The second annual Ignite Fest will be held on Thursday, November 15 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Student Center. Ignite Fest is a fun showcase of many of the innovation resources at Clarkson. At Ignite Fest, each participating group will have a table to display information about how their organization supports innovation at Clarkson and/or is involved with using, studying, designing, implementing, building, securing, devices/software, etc. for the Internet of Things.

We encourage organizations to use their table to present an activity for students to take part in while visiting your display. In addition to customizable Ignite Fest t-shirts, lunch will be provided for exhibiting groups/organizations.

Why the Internet of Things?
This year’s President’s Challenge topic is to envision how the Internet of Things can positively impact the Clarkson Community, North Country Community, and the Global Community – there is $25,000 in funding available for the challenge! We are looking broadly at this topic – ethics, data security/privacy, hardware/software, business models, etc. and encourage organizations to provide their own unique spin on IoT and innovation!

If you have any questions please email us at ignite@clarkson.edu. Thank you for your participation and we hope to see you at Ignite Fest!
