There will be plenty of exciting Division I Hockey postseason action at Cheel Arena this weekend with the Clarkson University Men and Women’s teams hosting playoff games.
The Golden Knight Men will be playing an ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series on their home ice for the second consecutive season when they battle Yale. Clarkson and the Bulldogs will face off in Game 1 of the best-of-three game series on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The teams will meet again on Saturday in Game 2 at 7:00 p.m. If the series is tied after the first two nights, a deciding Game 3 will be played on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Clarkson is ranked among the top 11 teams in the country with a 22-10-2 overall record and is the No.3 seed in the conference playoffs.
Ticket prices for the Men’s ECAC Quarterfinal series vs Yale are $15.00 for reserved seating, $10.00 general admission. Clarkson Students with a valid ID get one free ticket each night, but must be picked up at the box office by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14.
Two-time defending National Champions, the Clarkson Women will be playing a NCAA Quarterfinal game on their home ice for the fourth time in six seasons. The No.4 seed in this year’s eight-team field, the Golden Knights will host Boston College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Green and Gold are coming off their third straight ECAC Hockey Tournament Championship having defeated Colgate (2-0) and Cornell (4-1) this past weekend. The Knights are one win shy of their fourth consecutive 30-win season with a 29-7-2 record.
Ticket prices for the Women’s NCAA game vs Boston College are $10.00 adults, $6.00 for college students/seniors*** and $4.00 for children 12-and-under. Children 2-and-under will be admitted free.
***Clarkson Students with a valid ID can pick up a free ticket at Cheel Arena box office for both the Men’s and Women’s games this weekend thanks to a gracious donor who has agreed to cover the cost for Clarkson Students. For Men’s tickets the deadline is Thursday at 3 PM and for Women’s tickets the deadline is Friday at 3 PM.
