Co-op and Internship Brown Bag Session for Faculty & Staff

Co-op and Internship Brown Bag Session for Faculty & Staff
Wednesday, October 23rd: ERC 2400 Conference Room

With advising right around the corner, students are beginning to prepare for fitting co-ops and internships into their schedules. To help with preparation, the Career Center is hosting a Co-op and Internship Brown Bag Session for Faculty & Staff. We will present on the following:

  • Co-op program requirements for student participation
  • Options for students with rigid schedules
  • Ways to pair co-op with other CU programs
  • How students report an internship or co-op in Handshake

Currently, we have over 150 co-ops and 1,700 summer internships posted in Handshake. These opportunities span all majors. Student participation in co-ops and internships before graduation is imperative to their success. Co-ops and internships are proven to significantly impact a student’s ability to land a full time job. Co-op and internship participants have a 97% placement rate, while students who did not participate in co-op or internship have an 84% placement rate.
In the meantime, if you encounter students with career questions, please send them our way! We now have open hours every weekday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and are eager to help.  We appreciate your partnership in making sure our students are setting themselves up for professional success.
