ECS Student Chapter at Clarkson University

We are pleased to announce that a student chapter of the Electrochemical Society (ECS) has been formed at Clarkson University. An interdisciplinary group of graduate and undergraduate students initiated and established the chapter. The ECS Student Chapter will organize meetings, workshops and events which provide opportunities for area students to meet and interact with scientists and professors who are experts in this field, as well as other students interested in electrochemistry and related areas of research and learning. Information about career opportunities in the field will be discussed and made available to students. There are no academic requirements for participation, and students do not necessarily need to be currently enrolled in electrochemistry courses. All students are welcomed and encouraged to get involved in chapter meetings and upcoming events.

Benefits of joining an ECS student chapter:

  • Free annual ECS membership for chapter members
  • Attend social events organized by the chapter at no cost
  • Receive timely information about local and national ECS activities and meetings
  • Attend technical and educational workshops

We strongly encourage interested faculty to join our chapter as advisors and interested students to become student members. This will build a strong regional base in electrochemistry & related fields, and provide an interactive interdisciplinary exchange across various research areas and between many northern New York universities.
