Strategic Planning Update and Open Forum #7 Pre-Read

We continue to work through the restart of the strategic planning process.  We encourage as many faculty and staff to participate in the open forum session being held on June 25th at 2pm and provide feedback. The Zoom link is: https://clarkson.zoom.us/j/94492410102

Over the last two weeks, we’ve had a general discussion about research, STEM and non-STEM focused, and its linkage to graduate programs. This topic area will also contribute to the overall strategic planning framework report.

For this week’s open forum we have synthesized this information into a “strawdog” “competitive climate summary”,  “research winning scenario”,  and “strategic goal.”

Similar to the undergraduate strategies sessions held earlier, this week’s forum will be an interactive session with the participants where we will discuss these ”strawdog” statements, poll the participants on the general direction of the statements, and ask for more feedback that will be used to revise them into “draft” statements.

While no pre-work is necessary to participate in this week’s discussion, you may find it useful to review the meeting minutes that are posted on the strategic planning website  (https://intranet.clarkson.edu/administrative/strategic-planning/) and to reflect on the information provided in a pre-read document (available on the strategic planning intranet site).   In addition, recordings of the open forums held during the weeks of 6/8 and 6/15 are available for viewing if you were unable to attend those sessions.

Thanks again for your ongoing contributions.
