July 20 at 2pm   “Avoiding Death by Powerpoint” with Prof. Marcias Martinez, Mechanical Engineering (https://clarkson.zoom.us/j/98256724762)

Avoiding boring our students to death, and ourselves, by using powerpoint as a static lecture delivery tool is a critical skill these days.  Marcias shows us in this video, how to story board in your lecture and how to use videos and other approaches to engage students through technology.  Once you’ve watched the video tutorial join us as Marcias answers your questions about the technology, applications, and learning successes.  Bringing lecture to life through videos and animations is more critical than ever!  Join us at 2pm on Monday July 20th to learn how to avoid death by powerpoint.

July 30 at 2pm “Brief Introduction to Using Slack and OpenBoard for Online Education” with Prof. Sean Banerjee, Computer Science (https://clarkson.zoom.us/j/98511198958)

Often it seems teaching online courses means engaging students is more difficult, if not impossible.  There are tools that can help you engage your students in new ways both in and out of the classroom.  Sean has prepared some tutorials to walk you through how to use tools like #Slack and OpenBoard. Once you’ve gone through the tutorials, join us at the forum on July 30 at 2pm to ask questions and learn how these tools could be integrated into your course this Fall.
