This week! Wednesday, Aug 12 @ 12p: Moodle – Using Groups & Gradebook Set Up – Moodle has many tools that can help you organize and facilitate your classes more efficiently. Based on popular demand, we’d like to showcase the Moodle Groups and Gradebook tools. The Group tool has many practical functions to divide students, control activity submissions, and even allow students to sign up for their own group. The Group tool can be particularly helpful in large enrollment courses. We will cover the basics of the Group and Group Sign-Up tools and how to apply them to activities within Moodle.

The Gradebook in Moodle is a powerful tool with many settings and options. With the wide-range of options available though, applying the right settings can be tricky. We will cover the basics of the Moodle gradebook and show you how to set up categories for grade weighting.

Session will include:

  • Setting up Groups in Moodle
  • Using Groups to manage grading
  • Set up your gradebook
