Collaborate with a Librarian for Fall Instruction

Dear Clarkson Faculty and Staff,

As you prepare for Fall 2020 classes we want you to know that the Clarkson University Libraries are committed to supporting your instructional efforts during this challenging time.

Librarians will continue to be available for library instruction and research assistance via Zoom or Echo 360. Librarians can meet synchronously with your students during class time, or a pre-recorded tutorial or assignment tailored to your class can be created upon request.

Librarians offer instruction on:

  • Using databases
  • Plagiarism
  • Citations and citation management systems
  • Evaluating information
  • “Fake” news
  • Peer review & scholarly literature
  • Ethical use of information
  • Using Google Scholar
  • And so much more!

To request library instruction, click here. Librarians will also continue to offer independent workshops via Zoom; information for the fall workshop series is available here.

The Clarkson University Librarians can also support your instructional efforts by helping you design information literacy based assignments and meeting with you or your students for one-on-one research assistance.

Set up a meeting with Lisa Hoover at https://calendly.com/lisahoover or lhoover@clarkson.edu or Amber Dashnaw at https://calendly.com/aldashnaw/30min or aldashnaw@clarkson.edu.  We encourage you to share these links with your students as well!
