LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER- Ignite Masterclass Series: Communications with Juan Martinez ’95

Juan Martinez ‘95 is the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., the nation’s premiere civil rights legal organization. In this role, he oversees media relations, editorial, digital strategy, and marketing and branding. He has also worked in crisis communications, public policy, journalism, and as a political strategist — including as Press Secretary to former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. Juan’s diverse experience also includes consulting with organizations in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

These experiences inform Juan’s understanding of the importance of strategic communication, and in this Masterclass he will present his perspective on P.R. strategies, digital engagement, storytelling, and marketing and branding to registered attendees. Juan will guide attendees through the principles that have helped him in his career and made him a better communicator. Attendees will also learn how to communicate complex subjects to any audience. Juan believes that whether you’re explaining complex new technology, discussing difficult social topics, or engaging in everyday conversations, there are always better ways to share information and tell stories that move your audiences.
