Good luck on your upcoming finals, and congratulations to all of our Seniors graduating this year! Below is the information you will need for closing your residence hall room to avoid being charged.
ALL non-graduating residents must vacate Clarkson University Housing within 24 hours of their last final. Those with finals on Tuesday, May 11 will need to vacate by May 12 at 10:00am. NOTE: Campus housing will close for ALL non-graduates as of 10:00am on Wednesday May 12.
ALL graduating residents must vacate Clarkson University Housing no later than May 16 at 10:00am.
DUE TO COMMENCEMENT HOUSING PREPARATION, RESIDENCE LIFE IS UNABLE TO EXTEND STUDENTS SPRING SEMESTER HOUSING. In the limited circumstances of an EXTREMELY COMPELLING need to remain, students must fill out the Summer Housing Request Form via the Residence Life page with Knight Life. Students requesting an extended stay are not automatically approved and students are encouraged to make their own alternate housing arrangements in the likelihood they are not approved. Requests must be submitted by May 9.
If approved:
*There will be a Housing Extension Fee of $50 per student/per night. Residents are also subject to reassignment to temporary housing in addition to the Housing Extension Fee (unless they are a graduating senior.)
All students must do the following prior to vacating campus:
-Sign Closing Form which will be attached to your door. Failure to do so will result in a $50 charge.
– Place the room key in an envelope attached to your Closing Form. Should you feel more comfortable handing it directly to Residence Life or Campus Safety you can do so. Failure to return your key prior to vacating campus will result in a charge for replacing your door lock which is a minimum of $120.
– Remove all of your belongings and trash from your room.
– Clean your room/suite/apartment.
– turn off lights & shut your windows.
