Message from the International Center

Clarkson will start seeing the return of students from China – India – Iran – Brazil – South Africa – Schengen Area – United Kingdom – & – Ireland!!! The year of COVID limited travel for some of our students around the world due to travel restrictions. Students that needed to begin or continue programs online will now be able to travel to the U.S. to participate in their program in-person!

On April 26, 2021the Department of State expanded certain National Interest Exceptions (NIE) to all countries subject to a geographic COVID-19 entry ban. Students applying for or entering the U.S. in F1 student or J1 student / scholar visa categories will be granted NIE and allowed entry into the U.S. Students beginning their program August 1 or later do not need to specifically apply for the NIE – however – all students should consult their local consulate or embassy for specific information.

This is great news for Clarkson University & the U.S. as this means student mobility is resuming around the world.
