New campus classroom computers replaced older devices in August 2021. Internal DVD drives are not present in the new computers. Since that time, some instructors have let us know they wish to play DVD based content for in-class presentations. Based on this feedback and demand for use, OIT now offers a supply of portable external DVD players available for this use. Players are connected via USB port located on the front of the computer in the podium. The computer automatically recognizes the device as a DVD drive and is ready for use.
