The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce recent updates to the Technology Loaner Pool program.
- Since March 2020, the program has made 247 temporary loans of computer hardware and other devices to students, faculty and staff. This means one device is loaned every two days and half of all loans are made to students. The program allows individuals to trial a device before making the commitment to purchase; or to meet a short-term, unanticipated need. The program’s success is due to the high demand for computer devices.
- To ensure long term program success, borrowers should note the following loan terms (updated November 2021):
- Device loans have a maximum duration of 60 days from the date of loan or end of current term whichever is sooner. Due to high demand, loan renewals or extensions will not be granted. Shorter loan terms and stronger return policies ensures device availability for those in greatest need.
- Device loans are reserved for the following purposes only: try-before-you-buy, or a short-term, unanticipated need.

- Submit Request to Borrow: Once your request is received, an OIT representative will be in contact to request any additional information. We will confirm loan eligibility, device availability, and arrange for pick up or delivery.
