If you’re not enjoying reading your students’ writing, send them to the Writing Center.

We work one-on-one with students for any class on any type of writing including labs, business plans, reports, as well as essays.

The tutor’s first question is “What is the assignment?”  We often find students have lost track of the point of the assignment and steer them back again.

Other common problems are1. group papers with repetition, inconsistencies and gaps2. lack of flow which should take the reader along sentence by sentence3. incorrect format and grammar
Students can make an appointment through MyCU>Accommodations and Tutoring as well as through a QR code or our website at sites.clarkson.edu/CUWrite.

If you have a student who is having particular problems, please put them in touch with the Writing Center Director, Catherine Sajna at csajna@clarkson.edu.

We are located in Snell 139, but also do zoom meetings in the evenings or by request.
