SASE AAPI Week

Oct. 24th – Diwali-Rangoli -Diwali (India) / Tihar (Nepal) – is the festival of lights and celebration. It is a week-long celebration and on the day of Laxmi Puja (10/24), we make a Rangoli (an artistic masterpiece made using color powders) on the ground to welcome goddess Laxmi to our houses and wish for great health and wealth for our family. This will take place from 11-2 pm on the first floor of the Student Center outside the DEI Office. The best design will win a Hydroflask!

Oct.25th – SASE Alumni Panel – Meet our alumni who have been a part of SASE in college and are now working in the professional field. They are going to talk to our members about their experience at the companies they work for. This is a great networking opportunity as many of the companies they work for are big names in the engineering field. This event will be virtual via zoom and to find the link please go to our knightlife page.

Oct.26th – Our Voices – This event is to have a panel of people in the AAPI community who are students, graduates, staff, and international. They will be talking about their experience both in life and here at Clarkson. This will be at 6 pm in the Student Center Forum.

Oct.27th – Featuring Notable AAPI Figures – A presentation highlighting AAPI professors, students and staff here at Clarkson whose stories and lives are often not told will be up in the Student Center Forum. It will be played all day for all to see.

Oct.28th – Cultural mixer/potluck – Finally, to sum up the week, we welcome everyone to join us in Snell 212 at 7 pm as we make food for everyone. Anyone who wished to bring food will need to fill out our google form. We ask that any food that is brought please be labeled as we have members who have food allergies or certain food restrictions.
