Spring Research and Project Showcase (RAPS)

As part of the Celebration & Recognition of Excellence Weekend (CREW), Sponsored Research Services (SRS) and Clarkson Ignite will collaboratively host the spring Research and Projects Showcase (RAPS) and the Research & Excellence Awards Ceremony on Friday April 14, 2023.

Deadline to register is Friday, March 31, 2023 4:00 pm EST.
RAPS is a forum for student presentations on research and independent projects, or other educational activities such as internships, co-ops, and study abroad experiences. Creative projects, designs, business plans, and other activities are welcome. Presentations may be given orally and/or as a poster session. Oral Presentations are short (9-10 minute) presentations. With an additional 3-4 minutes reserved for Q&A. Presenters must bring slides with them and/or log into their Clarkson account to access presentation materials before the start of their assigned session.
Poster Presentations are short (3-minute) elevator pitch followed by interactive dialog with the public. Presenters are required to stay at their poster for the entire hour and a half block.
Awards for Best Presentation in each category will be announced during the Research & Excellence Awards Ceremony. Specialty prizes for sustainability and the new commercializing technology (poster sessions only) will also be awarded.
This event will also feature Clarkson Distinction in Faculty Awards along with fiscal year 2022 Million Dollar Club inductees and Patent Recipients.
Please encourage your students to participate: they can give oral presentations and/or present posters. We hope that you will also attend to support your students and their research. Faculty please consider assisting by serving as a chair and/or judges on event day. If you are interested in judging, please email raps@clarkson.edu.
