Office of Information Technology 2023 Holiday Seasonal Notice

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) wishes everyone a joyous and restful holiday season. Please make note of the following end of 2023 plans and reminders:

Classroom Technology

AV staff will be working in classrooms to make adjustments and fixes to all known audio, video or computing issues prior to return of class. If you are experiencing any technology related issues in the classroom, please report them to helpdesk@clarkson.edu.

Help Desk Closure Dates

Help Desk is closed when the University is closed. All inquiries received after hours can anticipate a response during the next regular business day. Regular hours of operation available here. Please plan accordingly. 

2023 Holiday Closure Dates: 

  • November 23, 24
  • December 22, 25-26
  • January 1, 2024

University Given Time Off Days: limited Help Desk support will be available for time-sensitive issues such as password or DUO resets.

  • December 20-21, 27-29

Keep campus PCs Powered on during November Break (11/23-26)

During the break, OIT will be deploying a set of Windows 10 patches that will take a long time to install. If your computer is powered on these patches should install gracefully without interrupting your normal activity.

Return Technology Loans

Please return all borrowed items before 4pm December 15th. Return items to CAMP 171A or arrange for alternate turn-in by contacting helpdesk@clarkson.edu

Moodle Update

Moodle will be unavailable starting 3:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Administrators will update the latest Moodle code patches, plugins and theme updates which will fix a number of bugs in the theme, including navigating back inside course activities and resources.
