Machinist (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  Performs skilled work in set up and operation of all standard metal working machine power tools, hand power tools, and hand tools to shape, fabricate, and install mechanical parts or assemblies. Routinely works independently and shows good judgment with approach to complex setups and operations. Organizes own work schedule and operates with no direct supervision or input on day-to-day machining tasks. Develops, constructs, and repairs experimental/scientific equipment with an appropriate level of precision. This may include translating ideas originated by scientists/engineers/students into informally designed working models. The position requires the use of considerable inventiveness, structural visualization, and creative ability. Works and effectively communicates with co-workers and immediate supervisor. Performs other related job duties as requested by immediate and higher level supervisors. Occasional nights and weekend work may be required.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate Mechanical Aptitude. 1 year experience in machine trades.

Range: $17.00- $20.00 salary based on experience

Network Engineer (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  A talented, passionate individual with the skill and desire to contribute to an outstanding IT team. This position provides technical experience as part of a team that proactively monitors, maintains and grows the technical infrastructure that supports the daily operations of the University. The Network Engineer reports to the Director of Network Services and Information Security.

Minimum qualifications: Completion of Bachelor’s degree or five years of related experience. Seven years of network administration or equivalent education.  Administration of a variety of wired and wireless network platforms in a production environment. Demonstrated use of scripting language native to platform. Experience with the design of campus networking for performance and availability.

Range: $65,00- $90,000based on experience

Testing Coordinator- 10 month (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  Provide planning, administrative support, and exam coordination for academic exams in the Office of Accessibility Services for students with testing accommodations related to disabilities. Communicate and collaborate with faculty and staff regarding exams. Serve as a point of contact for the Office of Accessibility Services exams and provide excellent customer service. Along with the rest of the Office of Accessibility Services staff, fulfill the mission of the department. The Testing Coordinator reports to the Accommodations Specialist. This is a 10 month position.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree. Demonstrated experience of working effectively and efficiently in a fast- paced, time-sensitive work environment within a team setting. Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills and customer service. Demonstrated computer and technology skills.

Range: $17.00- $20.65 based on experience

Accommodations Specialist (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students, the Accommodations Coordinator provides services and accommodations for students with documented and temporary disabilities. The Coordinator provides planning and administrative support for the Office of Accessibility Services. The Coordinator communicates and collaborates with faculty and staff regarding necessary accommodations. The Coordinator serves as a point of contact for the Office of Accessibility Services and provides excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field or 1 to 3 years of experience working with people with disabilities.

Range: $21.00- $24.00 based on experience

Student Achievement Specialist (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  Engage in proactive and case management supporting student achievement initiatives with measurable outcomes of student financial clearance and timely course enrollment. Provide to stakeholders information, pathways, and resources to insure student achievement. Responsible for cross functional back-up support to foster operational efficiencies in Student Advising, Student Accounts, and Student Records in response to cyclical demands of the academic calendar.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience, or High School Diploma with at least ten years’ experience. Working in a student support related role with a case management focus on financial aid, student records, student accounts, academic advising support or equivalent combination of education and experience

Range: $19.00- $21.00 based on experience

Assistant Director of Student Life (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  The Assistant Director of Student Life should provide guidance and co-curricular experiences to students, clubs and organizations. Their primary focus will be supporting the fraternity and sorority community, the Clarkson University Student Association and general oversight of student activities and events in the Student Center.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. One to three years of undergraduate or post-baccalaureate experience working within Student Affairs. Internships and student employee experience will be considered.

Range: $22.00- $25.50 based on experience
