The Institute of Sustainability conducted a recycling audit on February 4th using recycling waste from Moore House and Hamlin/Powers. Most recyclables were bagged, which creates a hazard for Casella staff when the waste is being managed. Plastic bags contaminate the recycling. When recycling is bagged it is sent to the landfill.
