CUSA Elections

Hey Clarkson Students!

CUSA Elections are upon us! The CUSA Senate will be conducting elections for all Senate and Executive Board positions Monday, April 13th through Thursday, April 16th. These elections will be set up differently than previous elections due to the current situation, so please read this email carefully to ensure you understand how to successfully run for a position:

Please note: Deadlines for Applications and Campaign Materials is Friday, April 3rd

If you are interested in running for one of your class’s senate positions and/or an executive board position, completing this form will put you on the ballot for your class:

– Fill out the nomination form on Knightlife, which includes a 250 word platform, a picture of yourself, and any campaign materials you will be using: https://knightlife.clarkson.edu/submitter/form/start/397401

**Please note if you are running for an Executive Board position, you must have at least one year of CUSA senate experience, past or present. If you are running for both a senate and executive board position, please fill out the knightlife form twice, once for each position/platform.

This election will be held for 96 hours instead of 48 hours as done previously. The CUSA Public Relations Coordinator will advertise all the candidates via the CUSA Instagram (@clarksoncusa) and through campus announcements. Getting signatures to get on the ballot as well as paying for campaign materials will not occur during this election. If you have any questions please contact the Academics and Policy Committee academicsandpolicy@clarkson.edu or the CUSA Vice President, Avery Paradis.

After you have completed the above steps, the timeline for elections are as follows:

April 3rd-12th: Candidates on the ballot are allowed to virtually campaign

April 13th-16th: Elections are up on Knightlife and students can vote during this time period.
