The Institute for a Sustainable Environment is looking for an intern for the 2020-2021

academic year. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of sustainability issues and confidence communicating through multiple mediums (video creation, in person, written, audio files, social media, web sites, etc). The intern will help to carry out sustainability programming on campus with potential for greater community outreach. 

Activities include but are not limited to: 

  • Recording and publishing sustainability stories in both video and podcast formats
  • Event promotion (campus announcements, concerto boards, etc) and coordination
  • Running ISE social media accounts including for the Adirondack Semester
  • Supporting the ISE newsletter
  • Supporting other sustainability programming being carried out by sustainability staff and other sustainability interns. 

The position requires: Organization (working on several projects simultaneously), the ability to

work independently as well as in a team, social media experience, audio and video editing experience, strong writing skills, knowledge of campus sustainability initiatives, public speaking, etc.

8-10 hours per week can be expected. Graduate and undergraduate students are both eligible to apply.
