Good Knight – Susan Hart

As we work through a challenging time – each of us focusing on doing all the right things in the face of uncertainty – your extended Clarkson family is thinking of you.

Each evening, we hope to share a story of good things, Good Knights, as a way to remind each of us that, despite the realities of our challenging days, good things are still happening.  We will look for short stories highlighting members of the Clarkson community demonstrating the values we all share – integrity, teamwork, humility and a commitment to making the world a better place.

Ms. Susan Hart, the Admirative Assistant for Clarkson’s Army ROTC, and her friends and family, donated fabric and supplies to create masks for health care workers. Due to Ms. Hart’s ability to telework from home, she was given the opportunity by the university to use some of her time to support this important project.  She has made and given out over 75 masks and has about 75 more cutouts ready and waiting for her elastic order to arrive. Sue will continue with this task until masks are no longer needed. Her first 75 batches of masks went to the Potsdam rescue squad, Potsdam Hospital healthcare workers, Potsdam Central School Staff and Teachers, as well for local community members. The second donation is going to Canton Potsdam Hospital and the few Clarkson students that are remaining on campus.
