It is with a heavy heart that we share that Jacob Pinto ‘21, a computer engineering major from Barneveld, NY, passed away today after a hospitalization this past month.
On behalf of the Clarkson University community, we extend our condolences, support and caring to the friends, classmates, and family of our student and all who are impacted by this loss. We will share all remembrance plans when his family has finalized them.
Grief counseling services are available to all members of the Clarkson Community.
Students may request support from the Student Health and Counseling Center either by calling 315-268-6633 or campus ext. 6633. It is located on the first floor of the ERC, Suite 1300. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm. Any students experiencing a mental health emergency after hours may request contact with the in call counselor by contacting Campus Safety and Security 315-268-6666.
Anyone who has concerns about a student can submit a SafetyNet report. A staff member will then reach out to the student to offer support and resources.
Staff or faculty who want grief support can contact the Employee Assistance Program through Cigna at 877-622-4327.
