Employee and Student COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

On May 11, 2021, Clarkson University announced it will require the COVID-19 vaccine for all students age 16+, faculty, and staff who will be on our campuses.

Medical and religious exemptions will be accommodated, but the expectation is that Clarkson will be a largely vaccinated community, providing the safest learning and living environment for all.  

All employees and student workers in the University community who will work directly in person with K-12 youth as part of their jobs in summer programs and/or recruitment or community outreach will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination by June 21, 2021. All others will be required to complete vaccination requirements by August 1, 2021.  

Please see the attached policy that outlines how employees and students can request a medical or religious exemption.

A request for accommodation must be submitted by:
June 1, 2021 for employees and students returning to campus for the summer 2021 semester. ( This date is extended until June 12, 2021)
July 15, 2021 for employees and employees returning to campus for the fall 2021 semester.

To request an exemption: 

Students:  Please go to MyCu PeopleSoft,  then select –  Covid Vaccine Proof.  

  • Select ‘yes’ from the exemption drop down.
  • Click on the type of exemption.
  • Complete and attach the required paperwork then submit the request.

Employees: PeopleSoft HR,  then select-  Covid Vaccine Proof. 

  • Select ‘yes’ from the exemption drop down.
  • Click on the type of exemption.
  • Complete and attach the required paperwork then submit the request.
